No good fish goes anywhere without a porpoise
Pulling out the stops
- Am I willing to come out of my comfort zone
I waited in line for the world's tallest wooden roller coaster. The teenagers around me were singing I've lost that loving feeling. I questioned losing my life! My comfort zone was not dropping several stories in the name of fun.
Fear caused a sudden drop in altitude. It caused me to shutdown the power of God when all I needed was a slight adjustment. It would be years before I reclaimed my inheritance.
Venturing into the unknown carries with it an element of danger. Believers, by virtue of the title, are required to believe in His power to lead and guide.
Comfort zones are not warm fuzzy places. They are places that rob us of the fullness available to those who pursue with abandon.
Your assignment, plunge ahead!
Begin your quest by studying pioneering maps. In other words, read the material great pioneers have written, gather information. Pursue relationships that will advance you. Put on your Indiana Jones hat. Declare your resolve to venture into the great unknown!
- Next: Am I opened to exploration of new ideas, willing to lay everything down and become a seeker of truth?
