HOW DO I ACCESS THE SPIRITUAL REALM
To answer that question we may need some background. There has been interaction with the spirit realm throughout the generations and cultures. In the book Twilight Labyrinth, George Otis Jr. explores that interaction in various cultures worldwide.
The Bible speaks of the interaction of God and man. It addresses the many gods of the cultures and in the book of Corinthians exposes the offerings to those gods to be offerings to devils -1 Corinthians 10:20.
God called Abraham out of a culture of many gods. He recognized a voice that resounded with authority above every other god of the age. Through Abraham God called a people to represent Him in the earth, not with a religion, but with a relationship. They were to manifest God’s presence in their midst, God dwelling with man.
Jesus Christ came to that people as the visible manifestation of God. Every type and shadow in the Old Testament found fulfillment in Him, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The sacrifices and rituals portrayed become visible in His life and death. He opened access to God through His substitutionary death for sin. When we accept Christ and the redemption He provides, we can boldly enter God’s throne room.
The spiritual realm is real. There is an inner knowing within man that there must be more. Spirit beings both good and evil inhabit that realm. If you enter through any means other than the authority of Christ, the One who overcame death, hell and the grave, you subject yourself to intelligent beings beyond your finite capacity. You allow yourself to become prey to their deception.
Before the works of Mesmer and hypnosis, access to that realm required rigorous disciplines. With Mesmer, the ability to bypass the mind (the gatekeeper) and place subjects into a passive state was more easily accessible. Many practices now operate on the same principle, shutting down the conscious mind, which allows access to your soul by external spiritual beings.
When you accept Jesus Christ you are born of the Spirit and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within you. Your spirit, once dead through sin, is made alive again unto God. 1 John speaks of this “. . . the Anointing which you have received . . . abides in you . . . and teacheth you of all things.”
That Anointing, the Holy Spirit within you, leads and guides. You cannot know out of your own reasoning things of the spiritual realm, what is good and what is evil, but His Anointing will teach you. You need to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. You may not understand, but that anointing will rise up and say no, no, no, or yes continue this way.
As you grow in your relationship with the Holy Spirit He will lead you into the truths within the spiritual realm.
