MEDITATING ON MISCHIEF

I DON’T GET MAD I GET EVEN!!

What are you thinking right now?  Ah, ah, ah, don’t be so quick to think of that statement as a bad attitude.  I have practiced getting even for years.  I believe it has infuriated the enemy, I surely hope so.

Then certain vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth . . .

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?i

I want to hear evil spirits say Jesus I know, and Paul I know; and you are a problem!

When I meditate on mischief, I consider how to get even with my enemy.  Getting even is fine, as long as you know whom your enemy is!  Our enemy is not flesh and blood.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.ii

Here are a few ways to get even:

  • Exercise your authority in prayer.

  • Bind the works of darkness everywhere you see it and release the Word of God.

  • Cast out demons.  Pray to break the power of oppression over individuals.

  • Preach the Gospel to the lost and steal souls out of Satan's dominion.

Jesus gave His church authority over all the works of darkness.  It is up to us to wield that authority over the enemy.  Everything we do that blocks, hinders or brings destruction to the enemy’s work is retaliation.

The authority we have been given is to be used now.  Now is the time to push back the works of darkness.  When the measure is full, God will lose His angels to cast Satan out of the heavens and end the age.  It is exciting that we can hasten that time by displacing the works of darkness!

Stand up and take your place!  Stand up in prayer.  Stand up with and on behalf of others and route the enemy!
