BE STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD

The world has dramatically changed in a very short time period.

The age of technology has changed how we relate to the earth and one another.  Along with the benefits it brings, it has also added stress, often unrecognized.  Many live in near constant noise in mechanical and concrete jungles.

“Be still and know that I am God."i and "In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength.”ii

Quietness of mind and heart is a necessary component for hearing God.

Spending extended periods in the desert (physically and spiritually) enables us to quiet our minds.

T. Austin-Sparks richly brings out that the ultimate thought of God concerning man's relationship to Him is the idea of our being 'Companions of Christ' — 'Companions of a heavenly calling'.
"Who are the companions of Christ?  Those who have fully left the whole earthly realm of things and are joined to the heavenly Lord: those who have become God's spiritual Israel : those who have answered to the heavenly calling.iii

We must answer that call individually.

We must choose to leave all the things of life and religious thought, and come, "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith”.iv  When we cry out for Him from deep within, He will surely answer us and lead us in His ways and on His paths.

These paths are not well-marked streets filled with the traffic of mainstream Christians.  They do not have internet cafes on the side so we can check for the ‘latest word’ or conference to help direct us.  These paths are found only as we trust ourselves wholly to Him and allow the Holy Spirit to be our teacher and guide.  It is a heavenly calling with a heavenly guide.

Let us run into Him and give God complete license with our lives, that we may become all that He intends us to be.

Let us not fear false leading . . . but fear no leading at all!
