THE ROAD TO DESTINY - Transition

Transition qualifies and positions for destiny fulfillment!
Transition begins with an ending … your past is over. Transition means to pass through, to pass over, and to pass across. It is a point where we pass from the old through limbo to get to the new.
- There is an ending, an in-between period, and a new beginning.
- The old is gone. You try to grab the new but it is not there yet. It is very uncomfortable! The past is gone, but there is nothing of the new yet in sight.
- Transition is passage from one state or condition to another. It is like a tunnel. It is away from the old and into the new.
Transition and change are not the same. Transition is the passageway. Change is what takes place in the transition phase.
Change is to make different or to alter in some way. Part of the reason God cuts off the old before giving the new is because He has to change you. If He did not, you would not know how to apprehend the new. He is shifting your paradigm.
God is giving you a very new perspective.
Transition qualifies us and positions us for destiny fulfillment. That is what transition is all about. Conversion is a transition process in which all things become new.i
Transition occurs in scripture at major turning points in the lives of people, groups, and nations.
Abraham received a word from the Lord to leave, go to a new place, and receive an inheritance. He had to leave his family.
Joseph had a dream; it created a major transition in his life. After telling his brothers the dream, they dropped him into a well. With that end in his relationship with his family, a completely new thing was beginning. He was in a transition that would ultimately position him to become a ruler in Egypt.
Moses went through two major transitions. After killing an Egyptian, he found himself on the backside of the desert. He went from being a King’s son to obscurity. In the desert, God worked with him and made him dependent on God alone. At the burning bush years later, he exclaimed, who me … I can’t speak! When he felt absolutely helpless and hopeless, God said he was ready!
Is God transitioning you? If so, recognizing its purpose will give you the strength and courage to continue. Remember, it is the road to destiny.
