GOD INVITES YOU . . . to dance

WILL YOU DANCE?

Where you are in life right now, may or may not be what you thought you would grow up to be.  It may or may not be what your family expected of you.

Nevertheless, the good news is that God has a good, acceptable, and perfect will for you, personally.i

Do not be conformed to this world (this age). . . but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind. . . so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. ii

He has every hair numbered and all your days are in His hand.

But [even] the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not be struck with fear or seized with alarm; you are of greater worth than many [flocks] of sparrows. iii

WILL YOU DANCE?

God invites you to dance with Him in an intricate, exciting, and creative dance.  It is personal and intimate.  It is a dance of love.  He sings over you in the night and smiles as you move with Him during the day.  What a wonderful invitation.

Try visualizing your day and all of its activities as part of the dance floor. He is the lead and you move with the steps and flow in the dance with Him.

Pause occasionally to sense His direction, to hear His soft whisper.

Remember, it is intricate, personal, and intimate.

Intimacy grows as you spend time with your partner.  In time, you grow in understanding the nuance and intent of their words, expressions, and actions.  This is true with God as well, the master of this dance.

Come now, prepare yourself to be led by the Master.

Come now . . .

Your personal dance floor awaits!

This was beautiful, Barb. Ironically, when I was a child, I would tell everyone that I was going to be a ballerina when I grew up. That was not to be in the natural, but maybe what I was feeling and speaking forth then was this "dance" of the spirit with Him. I went to the ballet before Christmas, and while usually the ballerina is in the spotlight, I couldn't stop watching the strength and perfect timing of her partner. She would not have been able to do what she did apart from him. Maybe I have become a ballerina after all, and He is that strong Partner who lifts me high and spins around in that breathtaking way!
