EXPLORING THE UNSEEN

UNSEEN - how does one explore what they cannot see?
God imparts spiritual sight to every individual that is born of the Spirit. We must grow in our understanding of what we see, much as a baby learns to focus and understand what it sees.
T. Austin Sparks describes it as . . . a spiritual faculty. It is so true and pierces right through every encompassing realm to our souls, and it pierces right through our souls into our spirits. The Light from heaven brings to birth this spiritual sight so that we are not governed by these outer realms, principalities and the powers of this world with its system and its standards. Also, our spiritual faculty is not governed by our soul, our own, self reaction to propositions. This spiritual faculty appeals to the self, our soul: it comes right inside and is governed by the Spirit, not by our own spirits. Be careful about that. I hear people talking about being governed by their spirit. No, no – we are to be governed by the One Who is the Spirit, the Spirit inner realm. We are to be governed by the Holy Spirit, “the Anointing . . . which abideth in you” most inwardly.i
This faculty of sight enables you to see beyond and behind the natural world.
It is as if you suddenly can see what you are dealing with. It is not that you break down a problem and come to a mental understanding. That is, even though at times, the breakthrough of sight follows a flow of thought. As you spend time communing with God ... seeking Him on issues of life, He brings light. It is important to note that it is time with Him.
We live in a world with a fast-food mindset. God does not. He is interested in our interaction and relationship with our heavenly - spiritual life. He must bring us beyond our natural understanding. Bring us to the place where we perceive spiritual realities. Our search for wisdom and direction is part of this process.
You may feel very frustrated, just wanting an answer. God is after so much more. He is leading you to a revelation, not just an answer. Ultimately, it is a revelation of Him!
How can you explore unseen places? First, by recognizing that God gives you a faculty that enables you to see in the unseen realm.
Exercise yourself in faith and prayer, expecting God to increasingly open your spiritual eyes.
Spiritual growth is a matter of seeing!
