It is finished!

He is risen!

We declare it; we sing about it, we celebrate it at least once a year.

Now back to life as usual. . .

STOP right there. Houston, we have a problem.

There has been no lift-off!

We need to check the settings to locate the problem.

LIFT-OFF CHECK LIST:

Officially dead, crucified with Christ.

New life successfully imparted, now a totally new creation.

Justified, completely forgiven, and made righteous.

Rescued from the domain of Satan’s rule and transferred to the Kingdom of Christ.

Calling complete, a holy partaker of a heavenly calling.

New position secured, seated with Christ in the heavenly realm.

All authority restored, given to Christ and delegated to His church.ⁱ

Everything is in order. All who signed up for the mission with a full surrender to Jesus Christ received the necessary impartation for lift-off. What could the problem be?

There are a number of possible problems. The most likely one is a lack of realization that there are two sides of the cross. We come to the cross as sinners in need of redemption, side one. God places us on the cross in Christ; in Him we are buried, resurrected, and raised up to heavenly places in Christ, side two. Translation from this world is complete.

Many teachings keep us at the foot of the cross and keep us from living in dominion. How can we live a life fully empowered? How can we overcome obstacles and temptations in this world? How can we wield authority over the ruler of this present dark age if we lack a spirit of dominion?

Begin a new study of the scriptures looking at what God has given you in, with, and through Christ. We are to study to show ourselves approved.ⁱⁱ

I also recommend reading the book John G. Lake – His Life, His Sermons, His Boldness of Faith. He was a man with a work and message infused with dominion. It will affect your spirit as well.

It is time to embrace and not just celebrate Easter.

It is time for your spirit to be infused with
the spirit of dominion!

Where did the early church get their power?

The anointing from on high!

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.ⁱ

To anoint means to pour over, smear on and rub into. You anoint yourself with suntan oil. Christ is a Greek word; the English meaning is anointed.

Jesus being the Christ means the one who has been sent by God and anointed with God’s delivering power.

What does the anointing do?

It shall come to pass in that day that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.ⁱⁱ

If someone is anointed, they then have the burden removing yoke-destroying power of God poured over, smeared on and rubbed into them!

Other definitions of the anointing:

The perpetual (never-ending) propulsion (energy) of the power of God that enables you to overcome any line of Satan’s defense.

But ye have an unction (anointing) from the Holy One, and ye know all things.ⁱⁱⁱ

The anointing … abides [permanently] in you!^iv

For God’s gifts and call are irrevocable.^v

The anointing is the perpetual propulsion of the power of God! The anointing is infused ability!

Propulsion: The anointing is the force that will propel you through anything the devil puts in front of you – sickness, poverty, depression etc. The anointing has life in itself! It has energy in and of itself just as a seed has life within itself.

You will never understand the anointing if you do not understand that it is infused ability to perform work on behalf of another.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,^vi

INFUSED – God infuses it in you. It is much like wolmanized wood. It is treated by infusion, giving it an ability not belonging to the wood itself.

Recognize the presence of the anointing within you. Respond to the Holy Spirit by faith and expect the release of yoke breaking anointing that will propel you through enemy resistance.

The anointing is your power from on high.

SUPERNATURAL SPIRITUAL LIFE

To lose spiritual vision is to lose the supernatural feature of the spiritual life.ⁱ

Many years ago, I struggled under the accusation and mockery of the enemy …

You are just too spiritual! What is wrong with you? Do you think you are something special?

At the time, I feared pride as if it were the unpardonable sin and so it was tormenting. Little did I realize that the fear of pride was pride in itself. I had yet to recognize what God’s Word so clearly states…

For I know that in me (that is in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.ⁱⁱ

One day the Lord broke through that assault and said…

You are normal. Many are not where they need to be, which makes you appear to be super-spiritual.

Those words afforded me great relief. I no longer felt I had to apologize for being spiritual in my thinking, vision, and view of this present world.

T. Austin Sparks addresses this low condition like this:

To lose spiritual vision is to lose the supernatural feature of the spiritual life, and that produces the Laodicean state. If you seek to get to the heart of this, this state of things represented by Laodicea, neither hot nor cold, the state which provokes the Lord to say, “I will spew thee out of My mouth”; if you seek to get to the heart of it and say, Why is this, what is the thing lying behind this?

The one thing that explains it is simply this, that it has lost its supernatural feature, it has come down to earth; it is religious, but it has come out of its heavenly place. And then you see, you get the corresponding rebound to overcomers in Laodicea, “He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with Me in my throne”. You have gone down a long way to earth, you have lost your heavenly feature, but for overcomers in the midst of such conditions there is still a place above, showing the Lord’s thought as over against this condition.

To lose spiritual vision is to lose the supernatural feature of the spiritual life. When that has gone out, be as religious as you like, the Lord only has one word to say—Buy eyesalve: that is your need.

To live the supernatural spiritual life we need SPIRITUAL SIGHT.

We need ever-increasing revelation from God. We have to get very serious with God about this. We must determine to allow the Holy Spirit to deal with our fixation about our own interests and ourselves.

Set your will and determine that you will do whatever God asks, go wherever He leads. Determine to cooperate and allow Him to work in you through everything He brings your way.

The Lord never tells us ahead of time how His leading will work out. We are only required to obey. It is a walk by faith.

When we cooperate with the Holy Spirit He will increase our spiritual sight!

SPIRITUAL SIGHT – a PROBLEM to the ENEMY

I SAW THE LORD . . . and the enemy saw me!

Spiritual sight encompasses, facilitates, accelerates, and gives authority in the Christian’s walk and work.

SPIRITUAL SIGHT opens the way for the Christian life.

We need to recognize the great importance of spiritual sight. Most certainly the enemy does. I recall my experience as a new believer . . .

Did Jesus Christ really ever walk the earth?

With my head in my hands, doubt bombarding my mind, I tried to answer.

He did, it is historical fact that there was a man named Jesus Christ that walked the earth!

For several days I sat, reading the Bible as the only thing I knew to do to try to make it stop.

What is this? How ashamed I feel, how can I tell anyone I have these thoughts?

DEVIL, WHAT DEVIL?

At the next meeting, with head down in shame, I confessed my doubts. The man listening placed his hand on me and rebuked the devil. I was stunned. There is a real devil?

Oh yes my friends, there is a real devil, have no doubt about it. From that day, I launched out into a search for light and truth.

It was the beginning of war. My motto would later become… I don’t get mad, I get even!

It costs to see, and it may cost you everything. Jesus opened the eyes of the blind man and he and his parents were immediately assaulted by the religious of the day. The blind man could see. The price he paid for that sight was to be cast out of the synagogue.

Seeing is critical to truly knowing what God has given to us. I must emphasize the word knowing. Knowing speaks of revelation imparted by and through the spirit; it is not mere knowledge to the mind.

If seeing the treasures of the Kingdom that we have been given is not enough, there is this --

I send thee to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God.ⁱ

The god of this age blinds the eyes of the unbelieving. God sends us forth to open those blind eyes and turn them from Satan’s power. The enemy will stop at nothing to prevent this from happening.

My beginnings, as well as the last 37 years, are a living testimony to these truths:

I saw and continue to pursue seeing the Lord, seeing the reality of everything He has and will provide.

I continue to encounter the enemy. I was a problem then and I am still a problem.

I exhort young and old in the Lord alike to pursue spiritual sight, no matter what the cost.

Pursue sight so that you can apprehend all the treasures of Christ and join the ranks of those who are a problem to the enemy!

Close your eyes. Imagine life without sight . . .

You live in a community of the blind. Your perception of the world limited to descriptions, pictures painted by words. Some things you can come close to, touch and smell, which helps. After a while, you become familiar with your surroundings, even comfortable.

You have heard and studied about so many things that you come to believe you really do see after all.

One day a few newcomers happen upon the community. They speak and there is something different, something indefinable. Something causes wonder in you. You know they have truly seen the world of which they speak.

HAVE YOU TRULY SEEN HIM?

We need to be aware that we must SEE and not just have a learned knowledge of the things of Christ. In this time of multi-media with its deluge of information, we must be watchful over revelation, lest we mistake one for the other.

[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints . . .ⁱ

Spiritual sight is an inward revelation of Jesus Christ. A Christian is to do or not do certain things, not at the dictates of any Christian law, but as led by the Spirit inwardly, by Christ in the heart.

The foundation of our Christian life is seeing Christ. It is not a foundation built upon what we have read, heard, studied, or even touched, as the blind person in our story. It is a foundation built on inward revelation.

The woman was crying! The room quieted and all the people joined hands. Our Father who art in Heaven, hallow be thy name …

When the prayer was finished, it was as if the sun rose on her face.

God was in the room! The God who I felt had no relationship to this earth, was present.

What was my response those many years ago? I pursued! God had revealed Himself to me and I did not want it to become just an interesting encounter, a story repeated.

My religious foundation was Christ. The realization of God’s presence could be none other than the revelation of the reality of Jesus Christ.

Shortly thereafter, I gave my life to Him, received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and became a problem to the enemy …

REALLY?

God lives in a foreign kingdom. As in many distant places, the language spoken is foreign. The customs and the communication style are of a different kind.

Before going to a foreign country, it is wise to study the culture. What is commonly acceptable where you live, may be misunderstood or perceived as offensive in another land. It is arrogant to barge in and expect others to respond favorably to your ways.

In the foreign kingdom in which God lives, He can afford to wait.

He who knows the end from the beginning can wait until you are in a position to hear Him.

In our instant messaging society, it may indeed seem like God is not with the times …

But really, does it have to be snail mail?

What is God waiting for? Is there a necessary protocol, a position to take?

God looks at the heart. He waits to see if you are intent in your request. We see this in the scripture of the unjust judge and the requirement to ask, seek and knock.ⁱ

He will move you into position for the revelation HE desires to bring. He may use difficulties or create a great hunger within you. These and other such things are to position you for revelation.

God waits for you to ask the right question. Much of the positioning is to cause you to seek what He desires to reveal. He knows where He is taking you and what you will need to advance.

Seek what He desires to reveal. Spend time in prayer with an open spirit and an inquiring heart . Prayer is not a one-way communication.

God I want something, what is it that I hunger for? I cannot number the days, over many years, which I awake with this hunger.

Hunger is God’s calling card to you! It is up to you to answer. Heaven records your response. The time and effort you spend seeking His direction and the level of your desire.

The measurement is not just time increments, but heart increments! Remember, God sees the heart.

IT IS NOT REALLY SNAIL MAIL … the truth is that God waits for us … press in, respond quicker, and put an end to snail mail!

THE RESISTANCE . . . demonic fronts

A DEMONIC FRONT IS

A STRONGHOLD OF RESISTANCE!

It is a deeply entrenched belief that exalts itself against God, while holding many captive. One example of this is large geographic areas where people are resistant to the Gospel.

Collective strongholds (false belief systems), widespread prejudices, large areas of oppressive darkness (control, hatred, violence) and other such things are possible demonic fronts.

In the book Twilight Labyrinth, George Otis, Jr. describes the battle:

For a great battle is being waged – a conflict whose banners and implications have invaded the borders of at least two dimensions. From the secret places of the human heart, a complex tangle of front lines extends out through thousands of earthly cultures and communities, only to reconnect in the vast arenas, corridors and interstices of the spiritual dimension. It is here, in a place I have labeled “the twilight labyrinth,” that the children of light and the forces of darkness share a common terrain. It is here that the godly in Christ are called to battle.ⁱ

One of the most interesting concepts of this quotation is that of interstices, which are small or narrow spaces between things or parts such as crevices. In the spiritual dimension, this is a battleground; it is an often-overlooked place, the Al Qaeda-type location of the dark forces!

If this is where believers must war, where does one begin?

You can bind the works of darkness such as blinding spirits, deceiving spirits, occult spirits and the like. You can curse the works of darkness and speak failure to their plans and strategies.

You can pray for the light of God to flood the area and the minds of individuals, thus exposing the darkness. You can loose angelic forces to do God’s bidding on the people's behalf.

You can exercise your Kingdom authority by loosing revelation knowledge. Pray for others to come into the lives of individuals with the message that they need. Pray over their choices and the paths they walk, asking God to direct their steps and lead them. Pray for the mercy of God and for the love of God to come to them.

You can pray for the atmosphere around them and the various situations. Through prayer, you can block the release of demonic assistance.

You can pray for those being overwhelmed, standing with them in agreement. In the spirit, uphold the power of the Word of God on their behalf. Declare the sufficiency of Christ to keep them from falling.

You can bind any spirits that you discern, including those trying to push believers out of their heavenly position.

Most situations will require a continued stand in prayer until you see things begin to change. Praying, warring and standing until you receive a release from the Holy Spirit.

Specific prayer is far more effective than the general repetitious prayer of “please help them Lord”. It also causes you to come into a deeper relationship with God and His Word. It requires you to give of yourself.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.ⁱⁱ

Declaring the victory of Christ over the enemy is both our honor and our work as His Church. Let us be faithful servants to the King.

LEAD CAPTIVE - I master my thoughts ...

INTO OBEDIENCE - meow, meow, purrrr ...

[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)ⁱ

This is the battlefield!

Thoughts have substance. They are like clouds, white and puffy when not filled with moisture, but dark and foreboding when water laden.

As if driven by unseen wind, thoughts move in and out. Some light, others beginning to darken. Thoughts, like clouds, are a part of the cycle of nature.

Past and present situations influence our thoughts. Harsh words, actions, or attitudes of the past can affect our reactions in the present. A familiar situation can trigger an undesirable response.

Have you ever found yourself overreacting to a situation? Most probably, we all have. Perhaps it was an overreaction of fear, anger, or even violence. Understanding that your reactions may be due to past hurts and offenses can stop many of the negative thoughts.

Do you know that God is the healer of our body as well as our soul? He can heal your emotions. Time is not an obstacle for God; all things are present to Him. He will come into your painful experiences and bring His love and healing balm.

The next time you feel you are overreacting, take the situation before the Lord. Allow His healing and grace flow into your memories. When something similar occurs, you will find it easier to cast down the thoughts and control your emotions.

It is time to take up your weapons!

We are to lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ.ⁱⁱ The weapons of our warfare enable us to cast down arguments and reasonings.

Training and battle readiness are requirements for Special Ops!

Heads up soldier, spirits can also directly affect you and use your thoughts. They hide under thoughts like: it's just natural, it's the weather, or it’s just your emotions . . .

Cast down imaginations and bring every thought into captivity to Christ and . . .

**While you are at it, cast down any spirits that are traveling with those thoughts and imaginations!**

TIME IS FRAMED BY ETERNITY

Can you separate the snow from a mountain peak and appreciate the majesty by just looking at the snow?

Can you appreciate the wonder of the giant redwood forest by looking at a lone tree?

Can you fathom the magnitude of the Grand Canyon except that you soar over it in a plane and not just stand on one edge?

Can you know God by viewing Him from human experience?

TIME IS FRAMED BY ETERNITY. Another way of saying it is that time exists in the midst of the eternal. If you separate time from its frame, you have only temporal life.

When you lose sight of the eternal, you frame your world-view around something else, be it man, nature, or redemption itself.

It is like trying to work from the center to the outside. I call this “wearing the garments of truth inside out”. Everything is askew because our order is wrong; our view is not stepped back from our own experience.

We must step outside of ‘life’ and see the eternal from our place in Christ. From there everything flows to us. It has already been accomplished.

Christ has accomplished everything for us. We need to stand with Him on the resurrection side of the cross. It is there that we are whole, blameless and above reproach.

When the eternal frames our life, our perspective of our time on earth will take on the height, depth, breath, and width of ETERNITY!

APPREHENDED by a PURPOSE DRIVEN GOD

Jesus Christ has apprehended you, laid hold of you for a purpose. Do you know what that purpose is?

I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own. (Phil 3:12)

God’s eternal purpose is the manifestation of His Son to principalities and powers in heavenly places.

Genesis 1:26-27 reveals that God desired and created a man to rule upon this earth; then He would be satisfied. He created Adam in His image. God’s purpose is to gain a group of people who are like His Son. Romans 8:29 reveals God’s purpose:

Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers.

Before the creation of man, an angel of light rebelled against God and became the devil. Satan sinned and fell; the daystar became the enemy of God. God withdrew His authority from Satan and gave it to man.

“God wants the creature to deal with creature. He wants His creature man to deal with His fallen creature Satan in order to bring the earth back to God."ⁱ

God decreed His desire for man to have dominion over all the earth, and then added another phrase. Watchman Nee amplifies this as follows:

“…and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”. The implication is that in order for man to have dominion over all the earth, the creeping things must not be overlooked, for God’s enemy is embodied in the creeping things. The serpent in Genesis 3 and the scorpions in Luke 10 are creeping things. Not only is there the serpent, representing Satan, but also scorpions, representing the sinful and unclean evil spirits. The domain of both the serpent and the scorpion is the earth. The problem is on the earth.”

If man has not restored the earth from the hand of Satan, he has not yet achieved God’s purpose in creating him. Saving souls is often only for the welfare of man, but dealing with Satan is for the benefit of God. Saving souls solves man’s need, but dealing with Satan satisfies God’s need.ⁱⁱ

We can clearly see the eternal purpose spoken in Genesis 1, dominion over Satan and his evil spirits on the earth, and in the heavenlies. The fall of man was not ordained as part of God’s eternal plan, but required redemption.

SATAN STANDS IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THAT PURPOSE. He has been deposed, but still rules as usurper until his casting down at the end of the age.ⁱⁱⁱ

The question now is who is going to be the Lord in God’s universe. Who is going to have world dominion?

He apprehended you to be a part of this great cosmic manifestation of Christ. Corporately we declare, by His life manifested in us, that Jesus is Lord of this universe. Can there be any higher calling?

The phrase "in Christ" with its variations in form and translation occurs more than two hundred times in the New Testament.^iv This is a great place to begin to take hold of what is already yours in Christ.

The solution for any identity crisis is resolved by identifying who we are in Him and who He is in us. He will live His life through us. That is the manifestation Satan fears most, the revealing of the sons of God!

HAVE YOU BEEN APPREHENDED ... if so, lay hold of the purpose of God and determine to make it your only purpose!

THE DYNAMICS of SPIRIT to spirit

SNAP, CRACKLE, POP

FAITH - AN OPEN SPIRIT - IMPARTATION

Spiritual substance is imparted spirit to spirit.

Faith creates expectancy, and an open spirit is quick to receive what God desires to reveal. The dynamics of spirit-to-spirit impartation require faith and an open spirit in the one giving and the one receiving.

Revelation and anointing must flow out of your spirit to be of spiritual value. Teaching that is imparted from one mind to another only builds up the mind of the recipient.

When the Lord’s people come together, it is a time when God can pour out what is on His heart.

Whether the Lord can pour out revelation or not depends on the condition of the minister and the condition of the people gathered.

If either or both enter tired, distracted, or bothered by things that bring them down, the Holy Spirit is restrained and the meeting will be lifeless.

As God’s people, we need to prepare ourselves to receive from Him by releasing our burdens, worries, and cares. Worship, prayer, and exhortation at the beginning of a meeting can help with this. It can also help us to free our mind from distractions.

In the meetings I lead, we usually begin with individual prayer ministry during worship. We walk in the dust of this world and prayer ministry can be just the foot washing we need.

Having spent many years in prayer ministry, I recognize certain characteristics of the spirit. I have witnessed the process of an individual’s spirit opening, progressively, until it is fully open to receive. In meetings, I expound on the dynamics of an open spirit, helping people understand how to receive all God has for them.

An open spirit allows for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit, both individually and corporately.

Do you want everything God has for you? Prepare yourself in advance to receive.

He will not disappoint!

Deep places in the spirit . . .

Houston … WE HAVE LIFT OFF!

Lift off into deep space … into deep places in the spirit.

All of life is a process of growth. We mature physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our spiritual life is much the same. We are born of the Spirit and we are meant to grow into maturity. What does spiritual maturity look like …

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].ⁱ

**In order to enter the deep places in the spirit you need to lean very seriously into a spiritual view of your life here in this present world.**

Remember, when you are born again, translation is complete. You no longer belong to this world. You belong to another kingdom, the kingdom of God. Like the believers in the book of Hebrews, you are looking for a country, a heavenly one, not one of this world.ⁱⁱ

What changes need to take place?

First, it necessitates that you listen to God with an open mind.

You need to leave ‘logical’ thinking on the back burner … the natural man cannot perceive the things of the Spirit, but the spiritual man perceives all things.

Accept people at the level where they are, and wait for the Lord to bring correction, if necessary.

Assume that others are doing what they are supposed to do, unless otherwise directed by the Lord.

Recognize agendas . . . an agenda is an organized plan for matters to be attended to. Take note of the word plan … it is the way you think things should look or happen. It creates a block in you. It blocks the flow of the plans of God, as you have a preconceived idea of how it will look or what is to happen.

God created you to think spiritually. You must let go of your carnal, natural way of thinking. You have the mind of Christ. It is to replace the carnal mind. It is a progressive replacement as you learn of Him.

And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect, will of God.ⁱⁱⁱ

Spiritual thinking can be difficult, due to your upbringing, the news, and the world around you. It may be difficult, but it is not impossible. Practice the above principles when you confront things that you do not understand.

Remember, God’s ways are not our ways, His ways higher than yours …

OVERCOMERS

God chooses the few to do the work of the many. Their work counts as the work of the whole church.

We see the principle of the overcomer throughout the Bible.

Exodus 19 tells us that God chose the people of Israel to be a kingdom of priests. The whole nation was to serve God and be His priests.

The people turned away from God's commands and worshipped a golden calf. Moses then called for those who were on the Lord’s side to come unto him.ⁱ All the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto Moses. God required these men to slay their own brothers with the sword. They were willing to serve God above all their human affection, so God chose them to be the priests.

This group, called Levites, God chose to represent all of Israel. What the children of Israel should have offered to God, the children of Levi offered for them. Their service counted as the service of the whole nation and all benefited from their priesthood.

During the time of Judges, the Midianites were oppressing the people of Israel. The responsibility to fight rested on the whole nation, but some were afraid and some were slothful. From one of their tribes God chose Gideon to lead a contingent of men and chase away the enemy. A group went forth into the battle on behalf of the whole nation and won their freedom.ⁱⁱ

We see another picture of the work of the overcomer in the crossing of the Jordan River. God instructs the priests carrying the Ark to stand in the water so that the people can pass through. ⁱⁱⁱ

This is a picture of warfare. They stand against the water (the power of the enemy with Egypt behind Israel) with the authority of the Lord (represented by the Ark). The few stand in God’s authority against the enemy on behalf of the many.

In the New Testament, we see the seventy return telling Jesus that even the devils are subject to them through His name. Jesus responds by saying I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.^iv

Jesus is speaking of what happens in Revelation 12 with the casting out of Satan from heaven. The continual resisting of the work of Satan causes his ultimate casting out of heaven. This happens not just by confrontation, but also by the removal of the work of the enemy through prayer.

Laying hold of the authority of the Lord and bringing the power of the Kingdom of God to bear in every situation will remove demonic power.

Do you desire to join the overcomers?

It requires that you embrace the following:

Live wholly for the Glory of God – nothing for self.
Be fearful of nothing.
Allow the cross to deal with your self-life – prayer originates with God not us; we must be broken in order to be used.

God causes an overcomer to see a truth and prove it first in their own life, so that they in turn may bring many into the obedience of that truth.

YOU decide whether you will be an overcomer. God then tests you, which causes you to see what is really in you. He shows you whether or not you will really be an overcomer.

It requires paying the price. You may be willing to pay something, but the real question is, are you willing to pay . . . everything!

Who will rule the earth that is the question!

Redemption is God's plan to restore everything back to His original intent . . .

God needs His church to restore the earth using the authority of His Kingdom.

God placed man in dominion over His creation. Man is now to overthrow the power of Satan. Man must bring the authority of the kingdom of God to bear and displace the kingdom of Satan.

It has not been fashionable to speak of warring against Satan and his wicked forces. We speak of various ministries and their impact on man. Who would want to be associated with demon chasers? After all, aren't they radical extremists?

And yet, that is exactly where Genesis brings us in the opening chapter. God gave Adam charge on the Earth with instruction to subdue it, which can also be translated to conquer, keep or guard. After man's fall, the Earth became Satan's sphere.

Jesus instructed his disciples to pray for the kingdom of God to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

If the kingdom of God is to come, then Satan must be cast out.

And we know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one.ⁱ

Stop for a moment and think about what you just read, the whole world is under the power of the evil one!

Those who walk according to the course of this world are defined as walking according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the children of disobedience.ⁱⁱ
Jesus told the religious leaders of the day that they followed their father the devil.ⁱⁱⁱ

God is no respecter of man's titles or positions -- -- political, religious, or any other such man-made authority.

You are either walking in obedience to Him or you are walking under the prince of the power of the air, Satan himself. Could it be any simpler?

We as disciples of Christ are responsible to help bring forth the kingdom of God.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling from heaven. Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.^iv
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they love not their lives unto the death.^v

His disciples came back amazed that even demons were subject to them in His name. Jesus chose that moment to speak these words:

I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

It is apparent that the casting out of demons connects with the fulfillment of Revelation 12.

As His disciples, (then and now) confront, resist, and remove the works of the devil and his angels, the time will come when that great dragon will be cast out. We will then hear the heavenly proclamation:

Now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ.

^{We are to bring the power of the kingdom of God into the Earth . . . into our sphere of influence.}

Let us be about meeting God's need by exercising Kingdom authority and adding to the measure that will cause Satan to fall like lightning from heaven.

Jesus Christ has apprehended you, laid hold of you for a purpose. Do you know what that purpose is?

God’s eternal purpose is the manifestation of His Son to principalities and powers in heavenly places.
